Burica Peninsula

BURICA PENINSULA VIEW FROM THE PUERTO ARMUELLES BEACH PROPERTY

The Burica Peninsula is shared by Panama and Costa Rica.  It is home of the endangered Panamanian Red Spider Monkey.  The Peninsula stretches approximately 30 kilometers from Puerto Armuelles to Punta Burica.  Charco Azul on the Peninsula is the location of 2 ports that receive, store, and ship by pipeline oil to Chiriqui Grande on the Atlantic side of Panama.  The Burica Peninsula is known for the richness of its Pacific Rainforest with tropical flora and fauna growing in breathtaking variety and amazing abundance.  The topography of the land varies from both cattle grazing fields and dramatic hills that sometimes drop directly into the Pacific Ocean.  Deserted beaches shadowed by grand palm trees line the coast from just beyond Puerto Armuelles to the tip of the Burica Peninsula.
